Camping and K Tooth Losing

On Sunday we went camping at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park near Sechelt. M's favorite part was the soccer game. Parents vs. kids. The kids won, of course. The score was 18 for kids and 13 for adults.

We also spent the days at the beach. M helped daveC fly his kite, built sandcastles with the other kids and ate smores until we were sick.


K lost a tooth on Sunday. On our way back from camping, in the ferry terminal, K bit into an Apple and the apple grabbed her tooth. It was bleeding. Yikes! Time to load the ferry. Yikes! Blood, tooth, tears, ferry....but it all turned out OK.

K says " It felt like a vine hanging in my mouth."

A Day At The Skateboard Park

Today we were at the skateboard park. I know, we don't even have any skateboards but we had a ton of fun anyways. We ran around and slid on our bums.

We tried to jump up and out but it was too high. After a while, M got courageous first and took the scooter into the bowl. He did a few tricks and then K decided she should join in, too.



K and M tried to climb the steepest wall in the bowl but, they didn't quite make it.

Fluffy Escapes

Today Fluffy escaped from his cage. He climbed out of his house and ate 3 holl in the couch.

Fluffy fell asleep well we were trying to get him out.

A Day At The Park

Sunday, we were at the park that was designed by Alexa. We had lots of fun. We slid down the slides. We went to the skateboard park. M , K , D and C climbed a steep concrete hill and got a picture of themselves.

At home we have a raspberry patch at the back of the garage. Some of the berries are ready now (and some in September). M picked a bunch and schmushed them up with sugar and water. Result? A tasty raspberry juice. Mmmmmmm.

Slipping and Sliding

Just recently we went to a birthday party. Well, as we were saying, it was Lucas' birthday. He had two slippery slides and we slid on both. One of them had a hole in the hose thing so we used the other one with the hose spraying both.

Yesterday, we went to the Bird Sanctuary for a walk and a jump.

We saw a line of Canada geese on a log, a Sandhill Crane baby and fed chickadees from our hands.

Fluffy's first outside day

In a rare appearance, Fluffy woke up this afternoon and went for a walk outside. K chased him around protecting him from the neighbourhood crows and coyotes. M documented the proceedings. K had a fright about Fluffy diving into a hole.
K loves her pet "Fluffy Peanut Spence"...and M does, too.

No Slivers at the Library

No Slivers at this library!

As we move from summer sport to sport, we stop only to remove the slivers from our feet.

Outside the library on Kingsway, K+M check inside the pig's nose for boogers. No boogers here!!!!!!!!!
